I currently have a 128MB GeForce FX 5200 that came with my Computer a year ago. I own games such as Doom 3, X2 and EE2. I would like to upgrade my graphics card to play these and new games on high settings and without the damn lag!. I have a P4 3GHz processor, 1 Gig RAM. Ive been looking at 512Mb Graphics cards and was wondering.
1.) Is it worth the change 2.) Does it actually make a change 3.) My price limit is about £150(GB) would like a card that delivers the best performance within that range. So any help on this would be good (Recommendations)...
4.) Im using an AGP 8x slot but can you also send me info on PCI express equivelants as well as my friend wants to do the same. He has 128Mb Raedon X300 (P4 3GHz,512Mb RAM).
512MB is totally unnecessary & for the most part, 256MB is too. I agree with the others...a Geforce 6600GT 128MB card is the best "bang for your buck" gaming card available right now
