Any advice would be great. I do quite a bit of computer gaming and I have recently bought Titan Quest and Prey. According to the minimum specs for Titan Quest I should be able to run it however each time I try to play it crashes and reboots after at the most a few minutes of playing. My computer specs are:

AMD Athlon 1800+. 1,54 GHz. 512MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6600
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D

I have been able to play Oblivion and FEAR without any problems. Titan Quest and Prey are the only ones I have ever had a problem with. Does anybody have any idea what may be causing the crashing?

could be a driver error. Make sure you have the latest video and chipset drivers installed.

Also go to directX's website and download and re-install the latest version of dx9.

When it crashes it crashs without an error. It just reboots.

With my Sound Card I'm not sure which one I have. After looking in my device manager it says I have MPU-401 Compatible MIDI Device and VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM).(One of these may be a sound card..sorry for being such a noob).

I've just updated my Direct X and I still have the same issue.

I've updated all my drivers and the same thing keeps happening. Could anything else be causing this crashing during games and rebooting?

Could my graphics card overheating cause my PC to reboot like this while playing certain PC games?
