Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.403 GHz / 1023 MB
So I'm looking to completely revamp my desktop computer for gaming. It's about a year old and it's probably running on old tech now. I've been wanting to base a build around the new Intel i7 chip and keep it a bit cheap if possible, if not then that's perfectly fine too.

Any assistance would be nice.

What is your current specs? I mean if it's a year old it's not that outdated to the point where you can't upgrade it and save yourself from a totally new build.

Have you looked into X58 boards, i7 CPUs & DDR3 memory? On the low side, you're looking at about $550 for those 3 items alone.

It's a 939 socket m-board. I think that's already discontinued right?
And no I haven't heard...
and really? Yeesh. I don't mind I want something that can last for a while. I'm getting tired of the one I have right now.
