Atleast this will drive down the prices of the X800 series (hopefully) I'm interested to see however when these card become more mainstream just how much the moderate card will cost (x700 type). I don't expect to shell down $500 unless the card was opt to last me the next 5 years which I don't think in the trend were going twords it will.

according to the benchmarks at www.hardocp.com the 6800s beat out the x1000s. nvidia beat the crap out of ati in the newest launches.
