What games do you want to play? You may not even be able to get a gfx card for your system that will allow you to play the games you want.

I would recommend that since it's got 128-bit memory bandwidth, not 64-bit in the prior post.

^ I agree with heropsycho. That will suit your PC fine, fingers crossed your Power Supply can handle it.

Well, I didn't even notice he's running a 1GHz CPU. I hope he's not expecting to play much of anything recent. If it were me, I'd be looking to buy a new system.

i only have the factory power supply which is only 185 watts max. i was hoping to find a card that doesnt need the power supply to work (plug any wires into it). i dont want to play any graphic intensive games such as half-life 2 or doom 3. i just want to upgrade. i was also looking at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130186 but their website says it needs a 250 watt power supply. i also was looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102354 but i dont know how much power it needs. thanks for all your help.

What do you want the card for exactly? A specific game?
