Need fps help for Counter strike.

Hey, I bought a new laptop about 8 months ago, for about 5 months following my buy I had been getting 100fps and now it's horrible. I'll enter the game, play for about 2 minutes and suddenly my fps will start to fluctuate, 20-50 fps for maybe even 5 minutes straight. I don't really know what I can do and would appreciate all help I can get. I am not currently interested in buying a new laptop seeing as I believe that there must be a way to fix my problem with this one. My system information is as follow:
Compaq Presario CQ50 Notebook PC AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 2.00 GHZ 3 GB of RAM 32-bit Vista NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G
