Subject: need audio license for mp3 player
OS: XP pro
CPU/Ram: P4 1.5ghz / 512mb sdram
Comment:

Sorry, my query is not game related but I didn't know where else to ask for help. My son bought an MP3 player and copied his Blink 182 CD to it. It will not play (other music we tried does) and I think I need a license to play it. When I played it on the computer I had to download the license so I guess I need it on the MP3 player. Can I copy it from my comp ? any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Graham

Copy it to your comp 1st.

But you gotta go into WMP options 1st and untick the 'copy protect music' box.

What brand is your MP3 player?

Cause i had a problem with mine in that i formatted it in windows to FAT32 by accident, took me ages to realize that though it could still be used for storage, the actual MP3 decoder part could only recognize ordinary FAT (FAT16 i think, or 12) so after a quick reformat its now cranking along.

Not sure if this will help tho

Thanks for your response guys.
I could not find the cd in my music folder so I assume my son just copied files from CD to G: Drive, so I ripped the CD to My Music then copied it to MP3 player(which by the way Matt is a Visual land brand). It plays the cd now but it is jumpy/rough.Windows did detect that it was FAT once and did a check or something but it is still FAT. Thanks for the help, I'll work on the sound quality or maybe just try copy it again and see if that works.Any suggestions?
