I recently bought a Dell XPS 8100 with 3d glasses and Alienware monitor. The system came with ATI Radian 5770 which does not work with the nvidia glasses. Dell talked me into getting a geforce 240. That is all they had that would work with my system. I want a better card, even a geforce GTX 480. Would that work in the XPS 8100. And if so, would the performance difference be worth the price as opposed to buying a 470 or lesser card? Which card would you recommend for 3d gaming with XPS 8100? Thanks.

Geforce 240gt is a gaming card but it's weak. If u can run hd 5770, iam pretty sure u can run gtx 460. If u have enough power (+12v@40A 600W) u can run gtx 480. if the board support sli buy two gtx 460 (two gtx 460 outpeform single hd 5970 & 480gtx).
