My Sims3 freeze every time i play with it

hi so just a couple weeks of ago i brought the Sims 3, and other packs to go with the names are the high-end loft stuff and the master suite stuff.Every second i play the game it starts to freeze the water and sounds and etc still works its just my character starts to freeze i cant even go on the map i cant to do noting but wait till it unfreeze it self.Is it anyway i can solve this problem to make it stop if its not. Then whats the purpose of even buying it than. PS: please give me some info to help me with this problem.
