so i just got a 8800GTS320 for my computer. i have a AMDFX2 6000+ duel core, with 2 gigs of ram running vista. thes games play fantasic!!! yet when i'm doing simple things like, running Itunes while surfing the net, or running photoshop while ripping a CD. the computer seems to slow down awhole lot more since i installed the new videocard. could it be a voltiage issue?
It's prob the video card drivers. Nvidia has still is yet to fix the bugs out of their drivers with vista including the latest ones.
Are you using the latest nvidia driver for that card?
Try uninstalling the nvidia driver and let Vista install to the defualt WHQL Vista driver for that card and see if it's still is causing the problem. If it isn't than that's what caused the problem.
hes right 8800 series vista drivers are crappy tbh. id also install winxp in a partition to dualboot would be totally worth it for gaming until vista runs smooth in games
