I was wondering if I could run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 on my computer in safe mode. I do not have a 3D card, just a 8MB SVGA card and other than that, I'm above all of the rest of the requirements. So I was wondering if it would run?

Your card's specs are irrelevant - Safe Mode is restricted to a VGA display (16 colours, 480x640) so if the game has higher video requirements than that (and really, most do) it will not work. CD access is also unavailable, if that's needed by the game

Why would you even consider this?

As well, you could have tried it just to see, in less time than it took to post

I believe that the VGA drivers are not also loaded in safe mode. I try playing games in Win Xp safe mode but they give me errors.

My primary system specs:
Pentium 4 530J @ 3.15 GHz
Asus P5S800-VM
Kingston ddr 1 gb
Westren Digital WD800BB
ATi Radeon 9600 @ 390 Gpu, 250 Memory MHz
Windows Vista+Xp using Xp

Thats not what I mean. I think the game itself has a "safe mode" cuse when I go to Start->Programs->Microsoft Games->Flight Simulator 2004->Troubleshooting, in that menu I see that it says Safe Mode and you can start the game in a "safe mode." I even googled it and I get pages that say that you can run the game under "safe mode" but the game will be in Software Video Rendering Mode. So can I still run it under Software Rendering Mode?

Yep, you can run the if the game is in the its own safe mode. I dont know much about MS FS 2004 but i have a partial guess that the safe mode will only allow you to change system settings. By the way, why are you trying the game on 8mb SVGA becuase it will
almost unplayable (Becuase i think the game was made in 2004 so it might demand good graphics).

Well, I did install and run it normally before, but it was jerky and wasn't smooth. Also, it was like watching a slide show and did not work properly. So that was why I was wondering if it would run under its own software rendering mode (its own safe mode). So it will run?
