CPU/Ram: pavilion 526x/256mb

i have been trying to play a copy of doom 2 but when i try to install the game it says that it cannot be run in MS-DOS mode. How do i get out of ms-dos mode?

probably need to be set to an older compadiblity like 95 or 98. Right click on the exe and run under compadability mode.

Jeez, he just told you!

Ok, go to the games folder, something like c:\program files\doom whatever. Now, right click the executable file, and then click the compatibility tab, then right click, "run this program under compatability mode" then select windows 95 or windows98 under the drop down list.

1040Mhz Pentium 3 OC'd at 1.2Ghz
Aopen MX3WPRO-E mobo
Intel 810 chipset
Onboard Graphics Not sure how many MB
128mb RAM
120GB Maxtor Hard Drive

My Old Rig:
AMD K6 400Mhz

that didnt do anything. i have tried several things but i am still getting *this program is not sutible for running MS-DOS mode.
