Serious gamers out there, I need your help. After purchasing a new 19" flat panel monitor, I noticed my games run slow, are jerky, and freeze for a second or two. My old CRT never did that. I am using the default settings (screen refresh rate at 60 Hertz,DPI setting at 96). I thought I read somewhere that Flat panel monitors suck at running the newer games. Any opinions out there? thanks

I got a 17" Flat Panel and it has no problems running newer games. I find it much better than my previous CRT.
As for your problems do you have any drivers installed for your monitor? I found i could not select certain resolutions and refresh rates without them. Although your current ones should be fine.
What make and model is the Flat Panel? Are you running your games at a resolution that is supported by the it?
