I have a x850xt pe (AGP) card. Looking to by a new monitor and have been looking at this Acer

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/lcd20.html

(one right at the top displaying the flower)

I tried googling around to read reviews on this monitor but can't seem to find any. Unfortunately I don't know too much about monitor lingo and would just like to know if this monitor will play nice with my videocard and most importantly, is it good for heavy gaming and the occasional movie?

thanks guys

Well, I'm off to bed

Even though it is a widescreen LCD, the VGA (Analog D-sub) only kills it for me.

I agree. And I don't care for the contrast ratio. To me 600:1 is the minimum requirement and I prefer around 800:1. There are several below that one that are much better. Now a days you can get an LCD 19" for about $250-$300 8ms, 800:1 DVI-D input but they're not wide screen. I have two Samsungs 930B for both my gaming machines. They kick butt.
The 20 inch displays run close to around $500.00.
Good luck
