Comment:

Midtown madness plays just fine on my computer until I change the weather to snow and then when select vehicle and choose start games it starts to load and then crashes to desktop. This is the only time it does this. It also happened on my Win Me machine but I got it fixed yet I don't remember how I did it. Anyone have any ideas

What video card do you have and what version of catalyst(ATI) or forceware(nvidia) drivers do you have installed?

When I ran it on my Win Me machine I had a Nvidia Tnt2 riva m64(drivers don't know). Win XP I have an Ati AIW 9800Pro 128Meg. Catalyst 5.1 or 5.2. I for the time being is sticking with those drivers because when I upgrade to the latest drivers I start having problems capturing video(lockups, etc.)

Already done that, doesn't help. I'll be getting my new SATA HDD today and will be doing a fresh install. My hard drive with my previous install died. I also had several user created cities and cars as well as another user game sav file. Maybe one of those were causing a problem.

Good thinkin, once you go SATA you wont want to go back. A fresh install is always nice too {:0)

Try checking your virtual memory. I have also run games with weather modifiers, and the game crashed. Virtual memory was my problem.
