I am attempting to run Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, but the audio is VERY distorted. I'm not sure how else to explain it, but the audio sounds like a cassette that was sitting too close to the speaker, then someone decided to play it backwards in their 8-track player. It sounds really bad.
Specs:ABIT NF7-S (using onboard audio)
AthlonXP 2500+ (running at stock)
AiW 9800 ProI have tried using both the optical and analog audio outputs on the mobo and I get the same problem. I have uninstalled, reinstalled got the same problem, installed the v2.0 patch and still have the same problem. Everything else works fine, from movies, other games and music.
I set the audio quality to the lowest it would go to in the optins for MGS2, and again, same distortion.Anyone have any clue? It worked fine on my old computer (MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU w/ AthlonXP 2200+ / Radeon 9000 Pro)

You could try updating the nforce chipset drivers link. You could also try running dxdiag, and on the sound tab change the hardware acceleration settings and see if that makes a diference.
