right this is a bit long winded but here i got i have 2 gig of ram 500gb hard drive a eigr(i think) 8800gt superclocked and a 4200 amd processor(again i think at work so cant cheak at the mo)oh and xp pro

i have been playing team fortress 2 at 1028 by 1024 everything on full detail and on servers with pings around 50.

when i got tf2 everything ran smooth around 50 to 30 fps depending on what was going on and around 60fps when nothing was happening.

but something has happend recently and sudenly my frames droped to 25 and bellow while playing?!?!?
there are no background task running ive made sure of that and my latency is around 50 to 80.

the drop in rate seams to have happend i think after the recent update. has any one else had this?

or i installed ntune so i was wondering have i up the graphics card settings? i have put everything to detail but due to the card being factory overclocked will ntune put it to the wrong settings? i havent noticed it in any other games like ut2004 and crysis

If this is only happening in one game, it would seem that it's not a hardware issue. There should be no need to mess with your card's clock settings.

"the drop in rate seams to have happend i think after the recent update"

IMO, that is the issue you should be looking into, not the video card settings.

i know it sounds like i ran off and messed with the video card. i installed the app and had a look paniced and hit default but afterward thought oh crap i have a overclocked card does default go back to the bought overclocked settings or the standard settings for all 8800gt cards
