I'm getting really bored of the PC games I have right now, and i've bought enough disappointing games to make me very cautions about paying for more,

At the moment, I've been playing TOCA Race Driver 3, which is fine in small doses, but soon becomes repetitive. Other than that, I've had Need For Speed Most Wanted, I got about half way through and lost interest, FS2004 was ok, but it's just a simulator, so once you've had your fill of randomly flying around, it gets pretty dull. I loved Call of Duty, but COD2 wasn't much of an improvement, hence I got a little bored of that half way through too..

I've still been playing GTA San Andreas for a while, not really for the game, but just modding the hell out of it, but I've done just about everything I care to now.

Brothers In Arms was a total disappointment and I can't believe I paid full retail price for it..

Thief3 Deadly Shadows was different and good fun, but the company behind it has gone, so there won't ever be a Theif4

Half-Life2 was great, Doom was a little repetitive and FarCry was ok.

I'm probably a bit sick of FPS games right now, not really into online gaming either.. Too many well-practiced sad geeks to have any chance of winning without quitting my job and social life to dedicate to it.

And i'm not too sure about those MMOPG or fantasy games (or whatever they're called) either...too many freaks..

Thought about buying the Godfather, but it looks too much like Mafia (Been there, done that)

Glossy graphics are nice, but not at the expense of gameplay..

Can anyone suggest anything worth trying?
Maybe a decent action/adventure?
Thanks.

Can't Irrational Studios...cough...cough..."Looking Glass studios" do something about Thief4, not that I care so much about a fourth title of the game anyway.

Do you like the POP installments, I loved the Sands and lately on and off I play the Two thrones , Black & White II, Oblivion, Quake 4 and BFII not in any particular order while waiting on PREY.

Hi snoopy104.

Have you tried the two Max Payne games?

A couple of times I had to go online to get the cheats. For instance, the part where Max has to run through the burning building had me stumped until I followed the step by step instructions from the cheats.

Both games keep you occupied although I did like game 1, Max Payne, a bit more. I especially liked the helicopter scene near the end of the game.

Here are links to reviews and screenshots.

Laugh if you want...Sid Meier's Pirates! keeps me entertained for hours. I'll admit it's a bit repetetive, but there's enough strategy involved to keep it interesting. Definitely worth the $20 you'll pay for it at Wal-Mart.
