Hi, I’m looking for any fun LAN multiplayer games that can be ran without installing. Our C++ teacher allows games, but he insists that we cannot install anything, so basically I’m looking for any game that can be ran out of a folder. So far we have Armagetron and I’m pretty sure Starcraft can be ran without installation.

So again only three requirements:
-Must BE LAN compatible
-Must run without installating
-Must fit on a CD

Thanks in advance!

Many older games run without installation. Just install them on your OWN computer, copy the files to a CD and take to school and try. Duke Nukem 3D is a nice game, you only need to uncompress it to a folder. Quake 1 is also a nice game, maybe you could try quake 2 or 3. If you want to cheat (!) you could install a game (like quake 3) and then remove the "installation information" from add-remove programs. A utility called X-setup can do that for you.
