What are the main things I need to be looking at when buying a LCD monitor. I will be going to college soon, and I am looking for one that will fit my needs. 17 or 19 in. is what I am looking at and I would like one that I can do some light gaming on....
RED

I've been in the market for one of these for
a month, and I've asked detailed
questions on many forums. Now you get
the benefit of my running around, since
you and I are both light gamers.Look for an LCD monitor which is:
- TFT
- response time: 12ms or less
- contrast ratio: 600:1 or higher (700:1
etc)
- a native resolution which is supported
by your graphics card (in all likelihood
1280 x 1024 for 19" or less LCDs)
- if your graphics card has DVI-output,
then you want the LCD monitor to have
DVI-inputlook into these:
Viewsonic vp930b 19"
Dell 2005fpw (wides.) 20"
Hyundai L90D+ 19"
Samsung 914v 19"The Samsung and Sony LCDs receive
the highest ratings.Additionally, both Best Buy and Circuit City
have the Samsung 930B , 700:1 ,
DVI/VGA , 8ms, for $330 after rebates.
