hi there,

Does anyone know how to solve the problem with the LCD monitor. Because when i compare the CRT and LCD monitor, I found that the LCD respone time is slower than the CRT monitor. Then, it was really not so smooth while i'm playing games. So, does anyone know how to solve this problem?

any better ideas for me?

thanks!!

That's why you buy an LCD monitor with a low response time. :-/

So, anyway to solve this problem?? the highest respone for LCD is only 16ms. But I still feel that the respone is still not as good as the CRT.

So, any ideas to improve or solve this problem??

thanks. ^_^

Amzboy,

If your talking about response time, ie the speed at which the pixles can responde the LOWER the figure the better!!! A 8ms tft panels pixels can respond in 8 milli seconds your tft panel can responde in 16 mili seconds. So the 8ms panel is twice as fast.

Less time (ms) = quicker response = better picture with fast moving pixles ie games and video etc...

You gave the impression that you think 16ms is better than 8 ms.

My tft screen is a 12ms and its perfect. I play half life 2, cs:s all day and night and its crisp, clear with no bluring.

AND by the the way you cannot fix this if you baught a 16ms panel it will allways be a 16ms
its the fastest it has been built to be. you should have got a better screen. sorry

The only thing i would suggest trying is increasing the screen refresh rate to the maximum it will handle usually uping it from 60 mhz to 75 mhz to see if this helps any.

The only way to fix it is buy a new LCD monitor with a lower response time - preferably 12ms or 8ms even better. Samsung makes a good one.

I don't have an LCD (yet), but if & when I do get one, I would go with 8ms or not at all. I've read a lot of good things about the Samsung that heropsycho mentioned. And as he said, "The only way to fix it is buy a new LCD monitor with a lower response time"

I've bought a Samsung for my wife, and I've sold probably 10 or so. They're bad to the bone, and inexpensive to boot! If you go 19", don't get the 910, get the 912 or the 930's, as the 910 is 25ms response time.

Samsung went in a joint effort with Sony to develop their LCD tech, and now Samsung makes a better LCD monitor than Sony, honestly. Just kick butt monitors.

I'll stop with the gratuitous advertising for Samsung now. :-)
