Laptop wont let me play Sims 3

Specs: Windows 7, Intel Core i3
I have a Toshiba Satellite A505/S6005 laptop, and it will not let me play The Sims 3 game at all. I was able to install everything, and update all the software. When I try to run the game, it loads, then tells me that there isn't a disc in the drive, and I need to insert it. Well, I have the disc in it, and no matter what I do, it won't let me play. Im SO upset that I recieved The Sims 3, Ambitions, Late Night, Outdoor Living Stuff, High End Loft Stuff, and Fast Lane Stuff. I read somewhere that you have to install them in order of their release, so I did that, and still nothing. PLEASE HELP!

The error indicates the sims 3 disc u have isn't original or the original disc one isn't present. U can still play it, just download the sims 3 nocd from

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.

I can assure you that it is an original Sims 3 disc. I have the case, book, and disc that proves it. I dont participate in movie/music/game piration. BUT, I find it strange that everyone that does use pirated games can play theirs, but I cant play mine. You would think it would be the opposite way around. I will try the download, and see if it works. I have done some research, and I think it is just my laptop. When I run the compatibility test on the Sims community, it says my comp exceeds the minimum requirements. Oh well.
