LAN with oneself?

Vivendi universal Warcraft 3 battle ches...

Specs: Windows XP
I am a big fan of WC3, and unfortunately there are certain maps I enjoy playing that require at least two players. As such, I can't mess around on them unless I have a friend along.

Anywho, I've always wondered... is it possible to run two instances of WC3 on LAN together with only one computer? I've already solved the problem of running two instances on the same comp (by running them under separate Windows XP accounts), but am stuck about the LAN part.

The first instance I open is always able to connect to the LAN. No problems, whatsoever. However, whenever I try with my other instance, I get the error message "Could not connect to network". Is there any way to mask the program under another IP or something so that it believes it's running off of another computer?

Thanks for any help.
