I have a low ping most of the time but with lag. My fps are as high as 125. The game play is smooth but the shots are delayed by one second and more and more as the ping gets higher. I don't turn on my firewall evethough it doesnt make a difference. When I say lag, I don't mean that its hard for me to move, I mean that my shots are delayed more, as the ping increases even at around 30 or 40. I tweaked my windows XP as much as anyone could. I tried lowering all my gfx details and it was the same with them all set at high. My rates and snaps have no effect. It happens on PB and non-PB servers. I never have naything running in the background, including my anti-virus. I have a cable modem with an ethernet card, not sure if that matters though. Any ideas of what it could be?

Perhaps you have a bad video card? Have you tried downloading/installing drivers and overclocking?

I have the newest drivers for my radeon 9600 pro and it works great. I tried overclocking once but I'm not entirely sure what it does for the video card. I also did a test and maybe you can tell me what it means for my connection.

The Connection problem you have is packet loss, so if you want to fix that problem you can change ip or tweak the MTU, RWIN, etc...
and about the overclocking....it makes a big difference if you overclock a video card especially radeon 9600 pro. one guy i know had a radeon 9600 pro and took a 3dmark03 test and got 4000. then he overclocked it and ran the test again and got 5000 3dmarks which is pretty good

Find a program called Dr.TCP in the search engines. I don't know much about tweaking internet, so you should repost at the networks forum
