Well all i can think of is either your running kazaa or edonkey or something like that, or your isp has made your internet slower. thats what happened to me.

Uh...well Kazaa can slow down your internet connection, but I have it and my internet does not lag at all.

There are a lot of things you can do. You can reinstall your SOF2 and see if it helps, check for any viruses, restart your broadband modem, or take a tweak test at www.dslreports.com/tweaks.

Also try reinstalling drivers for your NIC and try changing wires and see if it helps.

If you are lagging alot, you might be hogging too much memory. Your computer's internet connection needs to download the information you are receiving. If you cannot take the information because you don't have enough memory.

In the event you are running an application like MSN or Yahoo Messenger and especially huge applications, you should close any excessive programs.

I have this problem while playing StarCraft. Other problems are if you are on a router or a server than has lots of others using the same server, the shared internet connection will need to wait until a clear section of network is available. Otherwise, your lag will be tremendous.
