kotor 2 freze problem

hey guys i just got kotor 2 again i owned it once on to X box but i didn't get to beat it so i got it on pc but it keeps freezing on me just as soon as i move the charter gets frozen in place and forever slides in that direction but i meet the min. requirements i even changed the graphics to low and it still ran choppy and froze.... lol i cant even get passed to prologue can any one help?
PS its not the disks i bought 2 copies of it just to make sure...
