my keyboard and mouse freeze during gameplay in most games, i have Gigabyte 8IE800,350watt psu,realtek AC'97 sound card and geforce 4 mx440 (latest drivers). It happens in counter-strike, counter-strike source, GTA Vice City, Black & White, Battlefield 1942. I have recently changed motherboard,ram,graphics card,case,mouse drivers,new keyboard and a new dvd burner.(i didnt change it all becasue of the problem. The keyboard is a Logitech Acess keyboard (latest drivers, ps/2) and a Genius Webscroll+ Eye U+P (latest drivers, tried both usb and ps/2. I am running DX 9.0c and i have reinstalled it once.When this happens he computer doesn't freeze and i can still use the special buttons on my keyboard, ie My Computer, media etc Gabba

Maybe your memory is to full that happened to my computer we had to reformat it though. :( I cant think of any other solutions sorry. :(

What a mish-mash of parts! The GF4 MX440 is not a very good card, & it doesn't support DX9...you may have to install it as a game requirement, but the card can't take advantage of it. You'd be better off sticking with older drivers for that card. well so far i have changed keyboard, motherboard, sound and graphics. And the problem has continued through out. It started when i bought the comp and as you can see i have made amny changes overtime and it has gradually become more frequent. I used to only freeze for a few seconds but now it is way longer. Gabe
