Specs: Windows 8 64 Bit, 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory (4x4GB) Kit
Hi there,

I've just downloaded Far Cry 3. Some of the settings look complicated when it comes to video options etc.

Please can you tell me what settings would be optimal for my rig?

16GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory (4x4GB) Kit
2 x 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (SLI)

Looks like you have the horsepower...max everything out and see what happens.

yea u have a good pc set them all to their max settings, if u notice any performance problems drop down the resolution or start testing what setting level keeps you at 40+ fps.
To check for fps download fraps itll really help you.

The main thing I didn't know what to set was "GPU Max Buffered Frames"... What should I set this as?

With settings, 1920x1080, fullscreen, no vsync in game (adaptive vsync set on nvidia control panel), max frames buffered 1, dx11, msaa anti aliasing 8, enchanced alpha to coverage, ssao, field of view set to 79.75 and "Optimal" on video settings I am getting 50-80 fps in game...

Turning MSAA down to 4 increases this to 60-120.

Is 50-80 FPS a good gameplay experience in your option? It looks and feels ok to me....

My 1st card received 68 degrees and my 2nd card 58 degrees after 15 minutes of play and 80% gpu fan speed?

You're good to go. Like toxict51 said earlier 40+ fps is great and you're doing better than that. What's the problem? Do you want something to go wrong with your machine and this game?
