Comment:

I recently installed the Car racing game Juiced from THQ. However, the game runs quite slow because of my slow processor. When I disable all audio from the game options then the game runs greats with great graphics quality. However, when I turn off the audio the game crashes after I complete each race. As soon as I cross the finish line it crashes within 2 seconds and comes back to the desktop. This happens every time I play the game with sound disabled, but never happens when I paly the game with sound enabled.
Here is the error file created in the game folder in program files directory:

Please note that after formating and reinstalling my system is working fine and all other games are fine. There is a problem with this game only.

If anyone knows some better way that I can save CPU resource by disabling sound or just telling the cpu to not focus on the sound, please let me know. I tried disabling the sound card from the m/b bios, but the game is still slow and unplayable.
Any suggestions wiill help.

Lack of CPU shouldn't cause a crash.

I can't access game sites at work so I can't post a link, but after a quick googling, it appears that a patch is available that addresses audio problems & crashing issues on certain systems.

Right click My Computer, select manage. Expand event viewer.

You should see an error corresponding to the date and time of the crash.

Double click the event. You'll see an icon that looks like two pages in the top right. That copies the event to your clipboard.

However, sounds like Jam found your solution.

The above was the error report I got from the event viewer.
I really appreciate Jam's solution of applying the patch, but I cant apply patches to the this type of game, if you know what I mean. This is not exactly the original game.
If you can think of any other solution that will work please let me know, because this game is quite nice and I want to play it.

Ha Yea,
But these big software and gaming companies dont care to set up retail stores in India. I cant find a legal game even if I searched everywhere. I brought the legal version of Nortan antivirus through my hardware chap and it took him 3 weeks to get the original software from the companies.
People have brought the original WinXP cds and have given them up in favor of the pirated WinXP because they have lot of problems authenticating it over the internet, and the phone nos given by Microsoft are always busy.
You guys dont have the complete story. I know many, many good people here who actually want to buy the legal software, but the software guys just dont care enough even to set up one decent outlet from where we can buy it and get good support.

Anyway, lets focus on the game dude, can you help me get it to work?

What you said about the XP CD makes no sense. If you know how to activate an illegal copy, you can do the same with a legal copy. All the info you need for such things is readily available...you just have to know where to look, or how to search for it. Hey, 90% of my software collection is pirated...isn't that what the internet is for? ;)

Ha, its easier than that. The pirated version of XP needs no authentication and never askes for any authentication.
But I am not talking about people like my self.

I know many respectable pepole like doctor, and other senior citiznes who would love to have original software, but unfortunatly using original software is more cumbersome than pirated software.
