I'm using the Geforce4 ti4600, but I never hear anything about it. I payed enough $ for it. So is it any good? good benchmarks? I seem to be getting low frame rates with it. I'm using the newest drivers, 53.03, and DirecX9.0b. I'm building a new computer in a few months should I keep the video card or is it out-dated already?

that used to be the top of the line card before ATi came out with the 9700

Yes it is still a very good card, just a generation behind the new radeon and FX cards. My ti4200 is still plenty of card for playing today's games, I just can't go nuts with eye-candy like the newer generation cards can. Keep the card for your next system, atleast until the fps become unbearable for the next gen of games.

Had several ATI cards.......... never had so many driver issues in my life.. joke.. Running 5 computers, all have NVidia, 2 have the 5900 ultra..... Super satisfied, no problems..What more can I say..

Both Nvidia & ATi video Cards have Rock-Solid Performance & Quality but ATi has a lot of driver issues(for reals, i experienced some before) so I like Nvidia better.
Nvidia Pros
-Awesome Performance & Image Quality
-Easy to install drivers
-nView Utility is better than ATi's HydravisionNvidia Cons
-*Weak Anti-Aliasing / Anisotropic Filtering Performance
-Some video cards like the 5700 Ultra are huge, may not be compatible with all motherboards/systemsATi Pros
-Awesome Image Quality & Performance
-Small PCB BoardsATi Cons
-*Lot of Driver problems/issues
-Bad Customer Support
-Hydravision isn't as good as Nview.Anyways, justpicaname the Geforce 4 Ti Series are still awesome vga cards, but if you play a lot of Dx9 Games you should consider upgrading it. Other than that it works great for all Dx8 games(Warcraft III, Battlefield 1942) and should be able to play some Dx9 games like Halo and Call of Duty.

I have the exact card that the origonal poster has.Unbelievably was thinking of asking the same question.
Remembering that the TI4600 is agp x4 and not fully DirectX 9 compattable would it be worth buying say the FX5700 ??
Would there be much of an improvement using the 5700 ULTRA 256.
Presently I am playing Call of Duty fine with my Ti 4600 ,but would love to be a little more future proof without spending too much.

The 5700 Ultra may be a huge card but believe me, I used to have one myself and it was awesome for gaming. If you want to save some money, you should get the 128mb version for around $150 since there is barely any performance increase if you get the 256mb. Plus, games nowadays don't require more than 64mb of video memory.
