Hi,
I'm planning to upgrade my pc and this seems to be the most likely specs i'll get:

Asus A8N-E sck939
Amd 64 3200+
512md ram
Aopen Aw850 Sound card
Nvidia Gefroce6600GT 128mb

and i'm wondering if this would run most 3d games? and would they run well?

Also any suggestions on changing the specs would be great! Thank you!

It'll run them all yes, and quite well.

BUT, you could do with an extra 512mb ram, as others will tell you also. 512mb is the minimum for some new games appearing.

AMD Barton 3200
1024mb PC3200 Ram
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
A7N8X-E Deluxe

Yea, most gamers are going with 1GB RAM (2 x 512MB dual channel)...other than that, the specs look good

768MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7
Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB

I suggest you get a 6800 over the 6600GT and why are you buying an additional sound card ?

List of Lists.

in most cases the 6800 is the same price, and occasionally is actually cheaper, depending on where you look and what company it is.

I would only get a sound card if I were intending to use my puter as an entertainment center like if it were in the living room and you watch a lot of movies and media stuff, but the others are right even if want surround sound gaming cabibilities, most mobos already provide enough channels for that.

FSB @ 1144Mhz
512x2 in dual config @ 430mhz
