I bought A EmachinesW3507 3 months ago not knowing I was going to became a casual gamer. The problem is my Pc has a crappy Ati Radeon express 200 and only 512 mb of Ram 64 which is intergrated onboard. Im going to upgrade the Ram either to 1g or 1.5 but, I dont if my motherboard is compatilbe with any good Video cards (Gateway D102GGC2 Motherboard) Im willing to spend around $120 dollars Any suggestion would be great
The problem now is your CPU. Even if you upgrade your PC to 1GB and 6600GT (considering your budget) it still not decent enough to play todays game. I cant recommend more than 6600GT or 7600GT (if the budget suffice) because of your CPU bottlenecking the card.
You can play games like Doom3, Max Payne2, Far Cry or Unreal 2004 after upgrade, but not recommended for mid-2006 games and beyond.
My suggestion, use this PC for spreadsheet or Word processing but not gaming. Save some more money and build a better PC.

Well you will have to spend more. Upgrading the processor to at least a Pentuim D would help nicely over the Celeron D. It's dual core for one and it has a much larger L2 cache. If you can afford it, i'd go with a Intel Pentuim D 945 condsidering that's the best you are going to do.
I'd at least throw in 2gb of DDR2 ram in which is the max your saystem can go anyhow.
You prob should go with graphics cards an Nvidia 7600GT or an ATI X1650PRO or higher.
But you will also need a decent power supply to to go along with all that power. At least a 450watt 20+4pin 12v+ 26amp or higher power supply.
Now this is way out of your price range cause you're looking at prob a good 300 dollars in upgrades, but in the mean time your stuck with having to buy more ram, a better gpu and a better power supply, but you are going to have to spend over the 120 prob at least another 80 bucks just to get those 3 things alone.
Ty for your responses I know my Celeron D isnt top of the line but,when I saw it ran 3.2 ghz I thought it would still be top noch for a another year or two. I was thinking of getting EVGA GeForce 8500 GT 256MB DDR2 for $70 and 1gb of ram for S60 dikkars. I can't aford A new Cpu just yet but, Can my current Cpu handle it til then?? without bottlenecking
The Geforce 8500 series needs at least 300watts and 20amps on the 12v+ single rail, but you don't want to get buy with "atleast" you want room so incase you go over that you won't have to worry about your pc choking out on you anytime soon. I'd go 450watts ands 25amps or better.
The Celeron D was never top notch not even at that speed, the problem with the Celeron D was it's L2 cache and FSB speed. At 256kb L2 cache and 533FSB there isn't a lot of speed and store temporary passing data, but your's does better considering it has 512kb L2 cache, which is almost compared to a Pentuim 4 Northwood core 512k L2 533FSB. The Celeron's are always 2 to 3 generations behind the mainstream cpu's. The Celerons are getting replaced by the Core Solo which is based on the Core 2 Duo. So that should add a little morep performance for budget systems.
You're better off getting the 8500GT with GDDR3 memory.
Your cpu shouldn't bottleneck the games all that much aslong as you don't play games in the high settings. Just keep it meduim to low settings until you can get a better processor and a full 2gb of DDR2 ram, but even when you do that you are going to run into a problem with the 8500GT because the 8500GT wasn't made for full blown 3D game play, it's better off is you get an 8600GT. Newegg has one on sale for $99 dollars for limited time.
Your intergrated graphics is apart of the motherboard itself so there is no way of taking it off.
You have a Slot called PCIe x16 on your motherboard it's the top first slot, that's where you place a PCIe x16 graphics card. Once you have installed that card your intergrated graphics will become automaticly disabled by your motherboard which will help gain back system ram that your intergrated grpahics was sharing with your system.
