Get some more RAM, 512MB at least or preferably a 1GB KIngston ddr

get an Audigy 2 ZS Soundcard (PCI)(if budget allows)

don't buy a 9600xt, it is 2 generations old, less than decent ATI card. It is not good for gaming. Get a BFG Nvidia geforce 7800GS AGP 8x 256MB, and a good power supply is a must. Get a 500W ENERMAX,

and your pc is set for the future!!

P4 D - 2.66GHz
1024MB DDR2 RAM
ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard
Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 6800 Ultra 256MB PCI-E
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
2x Western Digital Raptor 74GB

250w is not even enought to run the 9600xt! You just might burn it out.

As i said if getting something like the 7800GS, get an Enermax 500W. Stay away from generic Powmax brands

Talon, he has a Dell PC. You can't just tell him to replace his PSU with anything...

brianjo, from what I've seen from user forums, the dimension 8200 does not have a standard PSU.

You may have to get a power supply specific to your system. You can either call Dell, or go with a 3rd party like this one...

400W should be fine for your system, but just remember how little your system is worth before you plop down money for a PSU, a new video card, etc.

At some point, it's not worth doing that, and you'd be better off buying a new PC.

www.dell.com

You should be able to look up all the updated drivers for your machine there.
