Hello
Im having trouble with CS
I have my own dedicated server on the internet and each time I go to join my server from the same computer, it says something about an invalid steam ID ticket.
I have reinstalled steam, I have tried logging out 2 different ways.
Is there a patch I need to get? I need an expert to help me with this. I really want to join my server from the same computer. How do I? ive tried logging out and everything.
Thanks

You can't host a dedicated server and play in that dedicated server with one account unless you play on LAN. Why not just create a listenserver?
Asus P4P800
P4 2.4c @ 3000 Mhz Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu HSF
ATI Radeon 9800 pro
1 GB OCZ pc 3500 ram
Sound Blaster audigy LS

Unrelated to a 'listen server' cos I'm not entirely sure what that is (although I'd guess its just an undedicated one).
The whole idea of dedicated servers is that your PC is dedicated to being a server, using all its resources for that, which is why they are so much better, because your PC isn't having to render the graphics for you.
The reason you can't connect to your own server with steam, is because each time you connect to a game server or create one, it communicates with the master server and you have a user ID when you do that, so that it can distinguish between users. So, if you try and connect to your server using the same account, its impossible because your ID is already in use. If that makes any sense..lol
