Better question is why would you want to.

I guarantee you the reason you're wanting to OC the card isn't valid. If a game or application is running slow because of that integated video card, no amount of OC'ing in the world is gonna solve that.

Not to mention the question is about a laptop.

BTW, this is a repost from the CPU forum. The original post was deleted because he doubled dipped.

My point wasn't about risk. It was about the uselessness of doing it. But you seem bent on this even though it will flat out do you no good.

Dude, there's NO maybe. I don't say "I guarantee you" unless I absolutely am 100% certain. This is a decade worth of experience doing system builds, overclocking components, troubleshooting PC and servers, etc. You will get absolutely NOTHING from overclocking that integrated graphics card. jam is another experienced person here, I've never met the guy, and he's flat out telling you the same thing.

I'm even offering to show you why it won't if you'd just freaking tell us what you think it's going to help with. Tell us what app/game you're trying to run better or at all.

"mabe it will boost my performance u never no"

No, I DO know. That's the point.

".......I mean mabe it will boost my performance u never no" - After all they are not David Blane..........LOL

I'm not sure if that was just rhetoric or a categorical statement & who it was directed to jam or hero or even both of them, but it sure was funny.

Instead of trying to be Mr pollyanna, what you need to do is get your head out of the clouds maybe for one second & listen to the credible pieces of advice being given to you!!!

There is no utility that will independently overclock your Intel extremely craptacular graphics chipset OK...........argggh & even if it existed with that chipset it's not going to make one bit of a difference.

Since you are so interested in boondoggling why not download SetFSB & overclock the system as a whole - you'll have a better shot at achieving nothing.

I'd say so. My lappy's processor reaches 80°C sometimes.
You can't overclock an integrated graphics chip, and even if you could, it wouldn't make a difference. Gosh, where did I hear that before?

You could try overclocking the processor, just CAREFULLY monitor your temperatures. Laptops get hot fast (and some of them overheat and throttle even at stock speed). The Celly 1.4 is a pretty cool-running chip. An extra 168MHz (gained by raising the FSB speed to 112MHz) shouldn't hurt.
