I am trying to install Final Fantasy VII on my PC. I have Windows XP and this game was designed for Windows 95. It will not install on my machine.
I have a patch to make it work for Windows XP but the patch will not work unless the game is installed. Does anyone know how to get by this? It's a great game, even if it is old and I'd like to play it again.

Instead of using the exe to install the game, browse the CD and find the game files, then drag them over to your desktop, or where ever, then try and launch the game. Not too technical but worth a shot :)
