Deimos,
No the patch did not work. I don't think it is the game I think it is my computer as other games speed up as well. For example LOTR: Return Of The King, is unplayable because it is so fast.

It would have helped if you'd mentioned some game titles in your other thread. It may be an issue with the dual core CPU.

Ok anything I can do about that? Some games work fine like 'Unreal Tournament GOTY edition', 'Test Drive Unlimited' and 'Guild Wars'.
