Hello, I was wondering if anyone here had any idea/suggestions for my current issue. I have contacted both game technicians and Nvidia on this, and both were unable to give me a solution.

When I play some online games I get some graphical anomalies. First, at times it seems like certain materials are dragged from one point, and stretched across the screen. Also, once in a while my screen will continuously flicker(the game, not my monitor), and also certain objects will flicker to a normally white-ish looking color.

Nvidia suggested changing some bios settings for maximum stability which I am currently using. I am also using the recommended driver for my video card. My video card is a GeForce 7900gt/gto. Currently i'm using the 93.71forceware driver.

After a short while of playing, my game and computer will freeze up, forcing me to hit my reset button.

If you have any ideas/suggestions, or need any further information which may help you to help me resolve this, then feel free to ask. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

-Brian

Overheating? Weak PSU? Bad RAM? Are all your drivers up to date? Are you running the RAM at 200MHz to match the CPU? Have you tested the RAM with memtest86?

No overheating and no bad psu. Using the recommended up to date geforce drivers. In this case for my geforce 7900gt i'm using the 93.71forceware driver.

Are you running the RAM at 200MHz to match the CPU? Have you tested the RAM with memtest86?

I'm unsure how to check what MHz my RAM is running at, and i'm not familiar with memtest86 either. I'll try to look into that though, but if you have any suggestions or information on this subject it would be great.

Your Pentium D950 runs at 17 x 200MHz (3.4GHz) by default. Your DDR2-800 runs at 400MHz by default. You'll get best performance when the CPU:DRAM ratio is 1:1, so you should underclock your RAM to 200MHz.
