i have a relativly new computer. for about 8 months it worked great on every game i had then for some reason whenever i played a game like Call of Duty i would lag for 3 to 5 minutes then be able to play for another 10 or so minutes before id lag agin. this never used to happen i dont know what to do. some of my friedns say it might be the graphics card but it cant be that becasue its new and im laggin in old games with bad graphis like Age of Mythology. they say it might also be with my internet connection that is also false considering i can fly around the new simply. i nor my friends have any idea what to do about this. Any ideas what is going on. Oh yea and what is a router?

my computer is relativly new and works with suposedly all games. but recently out of the blue im lagging in all my games. its not my graphics card becasue its very new and im still laging in the old g

I believe I have An Anwser For You:

Lets start with what is a router:
A Router Is Like the one you have that connects your computer to high speed. It's like a box that converts into highspeed then sends the signal to your computer.

In order to anwser your second Question:
1.Make Sure Your Anti-Virus Scan is not messing things up for you. Yes, usually virus scans are good but sometimes they can slow things down.
2.You should also re-trace your problem. Ask yourself,"What was the last thing i installed/downloaded from the internet before my computer got laggy. Sometimes Other programs can mess other things up for you
3.If you have a wirless connection make sure it's secured it is very likely that people are "Piggybacking", this means that they are stealing your bandwith. If this is the case then make sure you make your wireless Network is password enabeled to block people who try to steal your connection.
Send A Messege Back If You need any more help. I HOPE THIS WAS NOT TO BORING!!!!
