|The most LAN ports I've seen on a router is 4 You can buy switches with 5, 8, 16, 24, 48, and even up to 96 ports. I would recommend figuring how many connections you expect to need and buy a switch with more ports so you have some room for growth.|
As to how to set it up, there's like a bajillion tutorials and guides on the internet.
Basic setup is as follows:
Router [LAN port] >> switch >> clients
Your router can provide DHCP for all client connections.
