Moved in a house, son dragging feet and shocked me while I was turning on my computer. Got the blue screen and I have been unable to start my computer. Tried to load in the recovery disks however receiving media disk error. HELP

To tell ya u might have a damaged motherboard or hard drive... but dont panic.. it might of been corrupted files in your hard drive. your gonna have to reformat it. Try to get a hold of a win98 boot disk. if your using NTFS then get a hold of a winxp remove disk from your brand website. in win98 boot disc choose to start with cd rom support (make sure you have an os cd or you wont have ur computer back). once there type this command... format x: [where x stands for what your drive ur booting from is]. once the formatting is done.. load your cd. type setup.exe for win me and lower or type winnt.exe for win2000 believe and i386\winnt.exe for winxp. then it should install. follow the instructions.. and make sure you have smartdrv.. download it from a site off of google and put it in the floppy drive and type smartdrv in the command line. this should work... if not email me at cmpchris19@aol.com or dvmrt7@hotmail.com Best of luck, chris
