Hey I am about to build a computer for a friend and i was wondering what peoples opinions of the ATI1600PRO TV-OUT DVI 256MB PCI-EXPRESS card?

It's not the best out there. I'd be shooting for a 7600GT instead. Please help survivors of Hurricane Katrina! www.redcross.org

My friend bought the same card but he bought an old motherboard so the videocard didnt fit and there were no refound on his motherboard so he got the crappiest pci motherboard out there i felt so sorry for him!!:)

I'm not one to tell people to spend money for the heck of it. I'm a big believer in price/performance. With that said, look very carefully what you're giving up with the X1600Pro instead of the 7600GT. You will have to replace the card far sooner without a doubt. Spend a little more now!
