Specs: Windows 7
I have come in possesion of the game MYST, a Windows 3.1 disk, and i would like to install it on a Windows 7, but the game is too old to install on a computer. Please post any instructions to install the game on Windows 7 with or without the use of DOSbox, an old game emulator, on a computer.

If you're running a 64-bit version of Win7, you'll need an emulator or VM to run 3.1/DOS games, as Win64 doesn't support 16-bit software at all. And 16-bit support under the 32-bit version of Win7 is quite weak.

Socket 939 | Dual-core Opteron 185 @ 3.2GHz | 4GB | 1.0TB | Win7 x64
GeForce GTX 460 1GB | X-Fi Ti Pro | A8N32-SLI Deluxe | Antec P182

I mean when i put the game in the E drive and open the files in a folder, there is an INSTALL.exe folder and when opened, says is not compatible with my system etc., but you can also click open as administrator and that makes an install wizard begin. Even if I complete installation process I still am not sure if it mess up my computer, and I will still have to run it with DOSbox.
