I want to buy this gaming pc. My budget is around 1400 us dollar. What do you suggest ? I am thinking of getting,

RAM : 8GB
GPU : Nvidia GTX 680
Hard drive : Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB Sata
What do you think of this ? And what kind of power supply do I need ? At this configuration, what length monitor will be suitable for gaming ? Any suggestion will be helpful. Also, Will it be wise to wait for new Sea Islands and Haswell in 2013 ?

Don't expect big improvements, the only thing that gonna receive huge improvement is in graphics department(Haswell). Maybe Sea Islands gonna catch up sandy and ivy bridge.You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.
Surely go for i5 3570 (k or not, better K for overclocking). I would also recommend using SSD for os and games because it is faster, but you can use small size ssd for caching if you cant get a big one.
Now with the motherboard you have chosen (Z77 chipset), You can easily overclock a K series cpu and use SSD for caching (intel rapid storage technology) your 1 TB, which will make it run faster.
