The first couple weeks the game ran perfectly, as it should have considering that my system is more than up for the challenge, but recently The Sims 3 has started behaving cripplingly laggy and has ruined the experience completely has it freezes up for several seconds at a time. It's frustrating to be playing Crysis or CoH or Far Cry 2 on very high settings and then not be able to play the friggin sims. I have an intel q9650, a 9800gtx+ card, 8gb of 1666mhz ram. I have tried reinstalling the game to no avail.
