how can i know my PC was not shut down properly by someone when i was not at home.i want to know this because when i have gone to my school my relative's children were at home alone and when i came back from my school then i saw in PC on/off time software that these children have started my computer for a minute from which i conclude that they know how to start PC but didn't know how to turn off so they told me that they directly unplugged the PC.

As you probably know, your PC automatically scans the drive for file-system errors when it's switched on following an "improper shutdown".

There might therefore be a log file in the root of the C: drive, but only if the error-checker had to make any repairs.

The Event Viewer in Windows might also have some useful information:

Event Viewer >> System >> WinLogon
