Yeah
Got a problem with hosting a few multiplayer games. I recently switched to cable internet from Mediacom, before I was using 56k dialup. My current cable speed is approx. 360kbps download speed, and 1GB+? upload speed. I have a dedicated server running Windows NT, a computer that I also use for hosting, thats running on Windows XP Home Edition SP1, and of course my computer, running Windows XP Home Edition SP1. I have these computers hooked up to a Linksys router, wtih 4-port switch. My problem is, I can connect to servers and peoples computers over the internet when gaming, but whenever I host, my computer never shows up. When my friends try to connect to me via IP address, they can never find my computer. Yes, I have protocals installed, including the TCP/IP protocal, and my friends do also. How can I fix this problem so that I can host when gaming? I currently am having this problem with Stronghold Crusader, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.

You will need to go into your routers firmware and under port fowarding you will need to open ports 1 through 60000 with udp and tcp enabled for each pc connected to your router.
Next you will need set the server ip address as the dmz host under the dmz tab in your routers firmware.
launch your browser and type http://192.168.1.1 the default password is usually admin.
Dont forget that if you have a software firewall to enable all applicable items relative to your games and servers.
