Hey,

Currently i hav my monitor resolution set on 85hz as 60hz is too low and gets annoying after a while, and ive started to notice like faint horizontal lines running across the screen. Mainly noticable on the task bar.

Ive enabled and disabled V-Sync but it didnt seem to do anythin?

Any ideas wat mite be goin on?

Note: this only happens at 70hz and higher.

That's becuase your monitor shouldn't be on 85hz all the time. Just keep it at 70 or 80hz.
And try using the magnetic/ static build up setting on your monitor. <--- hope you know what I mean, I can't explain it, it's a setting for de-magnetising your monitor.

Just won't notice nearly any difference in putting your monitor down to 70hz.

Ive put it back to 70hz and i reckon its not as smooth or easy to look at. If im gonna be on the comp for liek 3hrs i reckon this would give me headaches...

Wat do other ppl hav the refresh rates as?

And why would my monitor not support 80hz its relatively new 19" AOC flat screen, ive heard ppl hav theres on 100hz (could be wrong)

You have an LCD screen? Why didn't you say so. What are you using your PC for, games? Becuase LCD screens at the moment aren't good gaming monitors unless you pay A LOT.
If it's giving you headaches turn the refresh rate down,
There's no other help out there but to turn the hz's down to about 70hz. On an LCD screen you may notice some difference but I don't know. I wouldn't have thought so.

Just turn on VSYNC if you don't want tearing, I run games at 75hz on a 15inch LCD and my games run great, very little tearing and no blurring even with Quake 3 Arena running at 200fps to 450fps

New LCD's coming out know with 8ms, wish people will stop slagging of LCD's, they have come a very long way in such a very short time

70hz in windows, although I can't see a difference from 60hz on my CRT screen.

Sorry Avarik if I offended you by saying he had an LCD screen, I just hope in time you can forgive me :/
