I need a new graphics card, and am trying to choose one the surpasses my ATI Radeon X700 enough to be worth the cost, although I am on a somewhat tight budget, so the most cost-effective choice is preferred. I'm currently trying to choose between: GeForce 8600GTS .or. Radeon X1650PRO Does anyone know where I can find benchmark performance tests of these cards against the ATI Radeon X700? Or does anyone know from personal experience how powerful these cards are in comparison? Also, any other recommendations? Thank you! If you're in the US, the X1650Pro for $60 (after rebate) at newegg is a great deal & it's definitely better than your X700. Your system is bottlenecked by your CPU & RAM though, so don't go overboard on a new card. There's no plain X700 available on this chart, so here's a comparison of the X1650Pro & the X700Pro.
