I have it installed but its not located in the control panel, when I go to play games it says I need to install Direct X9 but I have it, its just not being recognized. Please Help

If the above hasn't solved your problem run the dxdiag from the run window. This will tell you what version of DX you have on your system. You might check though as above that your card is Direct x9 compatible.
